In-cabin eligibility checker

Select your airline and enter your pet's weight and carrier dimensions. We'll check them against that airline's in-cabin limits and tell you whether your pet likely qualifies to travel in the cabin, must go in cargo, or may face breed restrictions.

Weigh your pet, then add the carrier weight. Airlines measure the total.

Measure your soft-sided carrier when loaded (it compresses slightly under the seat).

How this tool works

  1. 1 Select your airline — the tool loads that airline's official in-cabin weight and carrier dimension limits.
  2. 2 Enter the combined weight of your pet and the carrier. Airlines weigh both together at the gate.
  3. 3 Enter your carrier's dimensions. Soft-sided carriers compress slightly, but it's best to measure as close to the real loaded size as possible.
  4. 4 The tool compares your numbers against the airline's limits and returns a "likely fits," "likely over," or "carrier over limit" result — plus a note on brachycephalic breed restrictions.
  5. 5 Always confirm the result with the airline before booking. Limits and policies change.
