Entry requirements at a glance

Microchip
Required

Confirm accepted identification, scan records and the required sequence with vaccination for your exact route. A chip requirement alone does not establish that your records meet it.

Rabies vaccine
Required. After microchipping; must be current.
Health certificate
For U.S. exports, use the current destination-specific EU health certificate for the correct non-commercial or commercial movement category. Confirm the separate veterinary issue, official endorsement and arrival windows with your accredited veterinarian. A generic APHIS 7001 form is not a substitute.
Rabies titer test
Not required for U.S. pets.
Quarantine on arrival
None if requirements met.

Confirm identification and vaccination records, residence and transit history, owner accompaniment, pet count and any country-specific treatments or entry arrangements. Non-commercial and commercial movements use different certificates and timing. For U.S. exports, have the accredited veterinarian select the current destination certificate in VEHCS and confirm endorsement arrangements before booking. Do not rely on a generic 10-day countdown or a standard processing-time promise. Certificate guidance rechecked September 2026; other reference fields retain their stated review date.
