The #6FC clipper blade
A #6FC blade leaves about 3/16" (4.8 mm) of coat.
Cut length
3/16"(4.8 mm)
An Andis-only size — Oster's range jumps from #5 to #7, so this 3/16" in-between length only exists as an Andis blade.
Type
Finish cut (F/FC) — even, smooth result
What the #6FC is used for
- The in-between: shorter than a #5F, fuller than a #7F
- Useful when a #7F reads 'shaved' on a fine coat but a #5F won't last between grooms
Which clippers it fits
#6FC detachable blades use the A5 standard — they interchange across Andis, Oster, Wahl KM-series, and Heiniger A5-style clippers regardless of which brand made the blade. They do not fit 5-in-1 adjustable clippers (Wahl Bravura/Arco) or screw-on home clippers, which take their own blade systems.
